Thomas M. has over 27 years of work experience in the IT industry. Thomas began their career in 1994 at Oracle as a Solution Architect, Data Modeler and Developer, as well as a Sales Engineer, where they presented at technology conferences and interfaced with CEOs and CTOs. In 2000, they moved to Glencore as a Consultant, Solution Architect and Team Lead, where they architected technology solutions for core financial systems. In 2004, they joined Dell EMC as a Consulting Solution Architect for Tiered Storage Solutions, consulting to various U.S. federal agencies. From 2007 to 2009, Thomas M. worked at Morgan Stanley as a Financial Analyst and took a career break, during which they did some part-time IT consulting and worked as an Adjunct Professor of Finance at George Mason University. From 2011 to 2015, they worked at Salient CRGT as a Consultant to the FDIC and PBGC, where they created logical and physical data models for new data warehouses, and architected back-end data extraction, movement and loading to pull data from DB2, MSSQL, Oracle and other systems. Thomas M. currently works at T-REX as a Data Engineering Lead.
Thomas M. has an education history that includes an MSc in Finance from The George Washington University School of Business (2005-2007), a BSc in Physics from Auburn University (1985-1990), and a course in die Deutsche Sprache from Goethe Institut (1996-1998).
