Emily Vijayakirthi

Emily Vijayakirthi has a wide range of work experience in various roles and organizations. Emily is currently the Compliance Program Director & Employment Counsel at T.Y. Lin International, where they oversee the global Compliance Program for the company and its sister companies. Emily also holds the role of President at the Association of Corporate Counsel - BC Chapter.

Previously, Emily served as the Compliance & Ethics Network Chair at the Association of Corporate Counsel and held multiple positions at the Association of Corporate Counsel, MidAmerica Chapter, including President, Director, and Director Emeritus. Emily has also worked as a Senior Attorney and Assistant Compliance Manager at Black & Veatch, where they managed the Ethics & Compliance Program and oversaw anti-bribery and anti-corruption compliance.

Earlier in their career, Emily worked as a Corporate Counsel at Terracon Consultants, Inc, where they reviewed and negotiated agreements and handled mergers & acquisitions and corporate matters. Emily began their career as a Contract Attorney at Shook, Hardy & Bacon, where they started as a document review attorney and later took on legal research and drafting tasks for Business Litigation cases.

Emily Vijayakirthi earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and French from The University of Kansas in 2001. Emily then went on to complete their Juris Doctor degree in Law from the same university, graduating in 2004.
