Farshid Hosseini

Farshid Hosseini, PhD, PE, is a Senior Bridge Engineer at T.Y. Lin International with extensive experience in structural engineering, specializing in seismic design and analysis. Previously, Farshid worked as a Staff Engineer at Miyamoto International, where significant projects included nonlinear analysis of bridges and evaluation of seismic performance of towers. Academic roles include Graduate Research Assistant positions at the University of Southern California and the University of Houston, focusing on nonlinear finite element analysis and material testing. Farshid holds a PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of Southern California, along with a Master of Engineering from Sharif University of Technology and two Bachelor's degrees from Amirkabir University of Technology. Expertise spans designing concrete, steel, and wood structures, as well as conducting vulnerability assessments and retrofitting strategies for various structures.
