Paul Nelson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in transportation and traffic engineering. Currently serving as the Sr. Engineering Manager at T3 Design Corporation since August 2023, Paul has previously contributed to JMT as a Senior Associate and Associate from January 2010 to August 2023. Prior to that, Paul held the position of Traffic Engineering Manager at Wilbur Smith Associates from October 2004 to November 2009, and began a career at TransCore as a Sr. Transportation Designer from 1994 to 2004.

T3 Design Corporation (T3), a Virginia SBSD-certified, woman-owned DBE/SWaM firm who provides a full range of transportation engineering services, including traffic engineering, ITS, operations program management, and civil, drainage and roadway design-related services. We have expertise in developing Transportation Management Plans and Maintenance of Traffic Plans for all project sizes, from intersection improvements to interchange and interstate projects. We are also traffic signal design experts, with over 300 signals designed across the Commonwealth. We take pride in developing safe, sustainable and cost-effective transportation solutions through meticulous studies, skillfully designed projects and expertly managed operations. T3 is certified as a DBE/MBE/WBE for VA, MD, DC, PA, DE, NC, WMATA, and MWAA.
