Debora Schmitz-Rohmer

Debora Schmitz-Rohmer has over 18 years of work experience in the biotech industry, primarily in translational medicine and research project management. Debora most recently served as Head of Development at T3 Pharmaceuticals AG since 2023. Prior to that, they were Head of Translational Medicine at Synendos Therapeutics AG from 2021 to 2023, and Head of Translational Sciences at TOLREMO therapeutics AG from 2021 to 2021. Debora also held several positions at PIQUR Therapeutics AG from 2014 to 2021, including Head of Translational Science, Clinical Program Leader, and Clinical & Translational Research Scientist. Additionally, they were a Senior Research Project Manager at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research from 2010 to 2014 and a Research Project Manager there from 2004 to 2010. Debora began their career as an R&D Trainee at Micromet AG and was a Junior Researcher (Master student) at the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute in 2003.

Debora Schmitz-Rohmer holds a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Pharmaceutical Medicine and Drug Development, which they earned from ECPM - University of Basel, Switzerland between 2015 and 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of Basel between 2004 and 2010. Debora'seducation began with a Master of Science / DEA in Biotechnology, which they obtained from Ecole Superieure de Biotechnologie de Strasbourg (ESBS), France between 2000 and 2003.
