Syed Shahanawaz has over two decades of work experience, starting with America Online and American Express in the mid-90s. Syed then worked as a Sr. Consultant for Verizon, before moving to AT&T as a Sr. Technical Director, responsible for IT infrastructure planning, program and project management, and business and technology integration. After leaving AT&T, they worked for Accenture as an Operations Lead/Executive, leading Hilton Worldwide's ecommerce project, and then for Sabre Airline Solutions as a Director of Program Management, delivering large software development programs. Syed joined CBRE in 2015, first as Vice President, responsible for M&A diligence and integration management, and then as Senior Vice President, leading M&A and strategy development. Finally, they are currently serving as Chief Executive Officer for T72 Holdings, an organization aimed at helping entrepreneurs build their businesses.
Syed Shahanawaz earned a BE in engineering from Karnatak University in 1992. Afterwards, they pursued an MBA in information systems and marketing from the College of Business from 1992 to 1997. In addition to their degrees, they hold three certifications, including a Certified Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist (CMAS) obtained from the M&A Leadership Council in February 2020, a CSM from AGILE-Certified Scrum Master, and a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) from Prosci.
