Bittu Varghese

Bittu Varghese has a diverse and extensive work experience in the finance sector. Bittu is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Table Space Technologies since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Sula Vineyards as the Group CFO from 2019 to 2023, where they successfully led the organization to be IPO ready and spearheaded the end-to-end IPO process.

Before joining Sula Vineyards, Bittu held the position of Head of Finance at Pernod Ricard Thailand Ltd from 2017 to 2019. In this role, they led the finance team and acted as a strategic business partner for the €100 million alco-beverage company.

From 2010 to 2017, Bittu worked at Pernod Ricard India Pvt Ltd in multiple roles. Bittu headed Operational Finance Teams and led finance verticals such as Sales Finance, Business Analysis, Manufacturing Finance, Marketing Finance, and Accounting Shared Services. Bittu also served as the Marketing Finance Controller & Head Shared Services and the Manufacturing Finance Controller during this period.

Bittu began their career in 2004 as a Finance Manager at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd, where they managed the finance team of a €98 million profit center for Coca Cola India. Prior to that, they worked as a Regional Commercial Manager at SC Johnson India and as a Commercial Health Executive at Marico Limited.

Throughout their career, Bittu has demonstrated strong leadership skills, led strategic transformation projects, and provided financial insights to drive business growth. Bittu has also achieved notable successes, including negotiating cost savings of approximately 8% in offer expenses during the IPO process at Sula Vineyards and formulating strategies leading to favorable decisions in legal and tax matters.

Bittu Varghese attended The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from 1997 to 2003. During this time, they obtained a Chartered Accountant degree, specializing in Accounting, Finance, Company Law, and Taxation. Additionally, Bittu Varghese also acquired a WSET Level 1 Certified qualification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, although the specific start and end years for this certification are not provided. This certification focuses on wine stewardship and sommelier skills.
