Abbie Cates is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management, consulting, and technology oversight. As a Co-Founder of Small Shift Big Impact since September 2015, Cates excels in transforming objectives into concrete results, specializing in process streamlining and effective communication. Currently serving as a Consultant for Sagacity System Consulting and Onit Management Consulting, Cates provides expertise in project management and business coaching for local government agencies and medium-sized businesses. Additionally, Cates holds the position of Information Technology Project Manager at Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, overseeing technology projects and implementing strategic IT initiatives. Previous entrepreneurial experience includes founding KnifeForkSpoon, while also demonstrating significant workforce development leadership at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Cates holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Wheeling University.
