Dusty Lane

Dusty Lane is an accomplished digital communications specialist with extensive experience in health promotion, media production, and investigative journalism. Currently serving as Digital Communications Specialist (Health Promotion Coordinator III) at Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department since December 2018, Lane received the agency's Outstanding Employee of the Year award in 2021 and played a pivotal role in the COVID-19 emergency response as Digital, Social Media, and Content Leads for Pierce County. Previously, Lane held positions at KCPQ-TV Q13 FOX and IID, where significant contributions included managing social media platforms with high traffic and achieving top performance metrics in fraud analysis. As a digital investigator at KATU-TV, Lane contributed to multiple Emmy-nominated stories, while earlier roles at China Daily and The News Tribune involved reporting and editing for a substantial readership. Dusty Lane holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and History from Linfield University.
