Ingrid Friberg

Ingrid Friberg is an accomplished epidemiologist currently employed at the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department since April 2020, where responsibilities include COVID-19 surveillance and analysis of maternal and child health data. Prior experience includes a senior scientist role at Folkehelseinstituttet, focusing on program management and research coordination, as well as assistant scientist and research associate positions at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, executing analyses for major funding organizations and contributing to the development of the Lives Saved Tool. Early career roles encompassed epidemiological work at the California Department of Health Services and various research assistant positions at Johns Hopkins, including a clinical trial initiation in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Ingrid Friberg holds a PhD and a Master of Health Science in International Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Harvard University.
