Jessica Gehle is an experienced public health professional with a strong background in environmental health and HIV/STD prevention. Currently serving as the Environmental Health Division Director at the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department since January 2013, Jessica co-leads a division of approximately 110 employees and oversees substantial funding. Previous roles include HIV/STD Program Manager and Coordinator, where Jessica built key community partnerships and managed program performance. Earlier experience includes consulting for the Washington State Department of Health and advising student organizations at Johns Hopkins University. Jessica's work also spans international efforts in HIV prevention in Kenya and intervention development for Latino populations. Jessica holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from DePaul University.
