Michael Seiler

Michael Seiler has an extensive work history that spans various roles in the fields of biotechnology and scientific development. Michael started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Iowa in 1998, followed by roles as a Ph.D. Candidate and Postdoctoral Fellow at Baylor College of Medicine. Subsequently, they held positions at the University of Chicago as a Postdoctoral Fellow and later as the Founder and President of the University of Chicago Biotechnology Association. Michael continued their career at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, where they were a Research Associate and Bioinformatics Specialist. Seiler then moved on to ArborVita Associates, serving as a Consultant before taking on the role of Vice President of Scientific Development. Michael later joined Taconic Biosciences, where they held various positions such as Product Manager, Senior Product Manager, and eventually Vice President of Commercial Products. Seiler also contributed to Heartland Angels as a Scientific Advisor and played a key role in co-founding the Chicago Innovation Mentors Fellowship Program. Additionally, they were involved with the National Postdoctoral Association as the Annual Meeting Fundraising Subcommittee Chair.

Michael Seiler completed their Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Iowa from 1994 to 1998. Michael then pursued a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology at Baylor College of Medicine from 2002 to 2006. Later, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University from 2016 to 2018.
