Donna Wakefield

Donna Wakefield has a diverse and extensive background in software engineering. Donna started their career at Wang Laboratories in 1981 as a Senior Software Engineer and stayed with the company until 1992. Then, they worked at Spinnaker Software as a Principal Software Engineer, where they contributed significantly to the major release of the PFS:WindowWorks productivity software application. In 1994, they joined SoftKey International as an Engineering Manager and Principal Software Engineer, where they led the American Heritage Talking Dictionary application's technical design and development. After that, they worked at Ledge Multimedia, which was acquired by Dataware Technologies, where they continued to serve as a Principal Software Engineer and project leader for custom multimedia and web applications. At Dataware Technologies, they also served as a Principal Software Engineer, leading the development of multiple CD applications for National Geographic and winning three Codie Awards. Later, they joined LeadingSide as a Principal Software Engineer 2, where they led web application development projects and ensured client satisfaction. In 2001, they joined IBM as an Advisory Software Engineer, contributing to the development of complex areas of the Lotus Notes product. Lastly, they worked at Cisco Systems / WebEx Communications as a Senior Software Engineer, where they played a vital role in technical design, code, and unit tests of web-based collaboration projects. Donna Wakefield completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics at the University of Vermont from 1977 to 1981. Donna then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at Boston University from 1982 to 1987.
