Joseph (Jay) Sailer has a diverse work experience in the field of software integration and military operations. Joseph (Jay) started their career in 1994 as a Traffic Management Operations Journeyman in the United States Air Force and later served as a C-130/HC-130 Loadmaster. In 2001, they began a series of roles within the Air Force, including Chief of Wing Interoperability Cell, Air Surveillance Officer, and Air Weapons Officer. During this time, they also served as Assistant Flight Commander and Flight Commander, where they managed training, scheduling, and personnel evaluations. From 2006 to 2015, they held various leadership positions, such as Chief of E-3 Interoperability, Joint Interface Control Officer, Chief of Current Operations, and Chief of Squadron Standards and Evaluations. Their responsibilities included managing budgets, coordinating training missions, and leading teams of evaluators. Joseph (Jay) also worked as an Assistant Director of Operations, where they oversaw flight, simulator, and deployment training for a squadron. Most recently, in 2016, they worked as a Software Integration Test Engineer at TCG - Tactical Communications Group, LLC.
Joseph (Jay) Sailer pursued their Bachelor's degree in Sports Management from West Virginia University from 1988 to 1993. After completing their undergraduate studies, they decided to further enhance their educational qualifications and enrolled at American Military University in 2008. During their time there, Joseph pursued a Masters degree in History, which they successfully completed in 2009.
