Kobus P. has extensive work experience in the tyre industry, beginning in 1995 as a Tyre Development Engineer and Tyre Uniformity Engineer for Continental. In 2001, they joined Dunlop Tyres SA as a Product Design Engineer - Truck & Light Truck Bus Radial. In 2007, they moved to Apollo Tyres Ltd, where they held several roles, including Group Technical Manager - All Product, Group Technical Manager - Truck Bus Radial, Product Development Manager Tyres - South Africa, and Product Development Manager: Truck and Bus Radial. In 2013, they took a sabbatical, and in 2014 they joined Apollo Tyres Global R&D as Manager Product Evaluation / Customer Success - Europe and Americas. Kobus was responsible for establishing a new product evaluation R&D organization for Europe & America's and managing a multi-locations R&D team of 6 engineers operating in various countries. In 2022, they joined Tactile Mobility as a Product Manager.

Kobus P. began their education in 1991, obtaining a National Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Port Elizabeth Technikon. In 1996, they earned a Certificate in Rubber Technology from the same institution. In 2003, they received a Bachelor's degree in Management from Durban Institute of Technology. In 2004, they became 6 Sigma Certified in Green Belt from M de Kiewiet & Associates. In 2006, they obtained a Bachelor's of Theology from South African Theological Seminary, and in 2009, they completed an Advanced Leadership Development Programme from Stellenbosch Business School.
