John Newton

John Newton is an experienced engineering professional with a diverse background in the rail industry. As the Director of Engineering at Tactix Group since February 2016, John has led various technical initiatives. Prior roles include Technical Director for the Novo Rail Alliance and National Operations Manager Rail at RCR Infrastructure, and Technical Director and Program Director at O'Donnell Griffin. John's experience also encompasses Project Director and General Manager of Signalling at Siemens, overseeing significant projects such as the Edinburgh Tram project. Earlier in John's career, significant contributions were made as a Systems Integration and Engineering Director at Railtrack, as well as a Project Manager, managing a broad portfolio of engineering projects. John holds an MBA from The University of Bolton, obtained between 1995 and 1997.
