Bonnie Hawkins has a diverse work experience spanning over 18 years. Bonnie started their career in 2004 as a Student Teacher in the Henrico County School District, where they supervised and instructed 11th grade English students. Bonnie created lesson plans and prepared students for standardized tests. In 2006, they joined Hunton & Williams LLP as a Professional Assistant, assisting attorneys with transactional deal documents and conducting research for Diversity Law Projects. In 2014, they became a Practice Technology Trainer at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, responsible for designing and implementing technical training programs. Bonnie'swork involved new hire onboarding and adapting training as needed. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Tacton as a Training Specialist and Support Engineer.

Bonnie Hawkins pursued their undergraduate studies from 2002 to 2006 at Longwood University. During this period, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a focus on English Literature, specifically specializing in British and Commonwealth literature.
