Risto Putila

Risto Putila has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Risto began their career as a SW designer and Chief Engineer at SyPro, Smart Set, Darepro, Polarpro, and TSV-insinoorit from 1986 to 1996.

After that, they joined Nokia in 1998 and held various positions, including SW Group Manager, R&D Manager for M2M modems and WLL terminals, Senior Manager in R&D, and Product Program Manager for Nokia N900 Maemo/Linux based Smartphone.

In 2011, Risto moved to EXFO, where they served as an R&D Manager for Telecom Networks Analyzer systems, R&D Manager for Systems Engineering in Telecom Networks Monitoring, and finally as an R&D Manager for Telecom Networks Monitoring and Analysis Systems.

Since 2018, Risto has been working at TactoTek Inc., starting as an Engineering Director before being promoted to Head of Product Planning in 2022.

Risto Putila earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from Raahen Tietokonelan oppilaitos, where they studied from 1982 to 1986. In terms of certifications, they obtained a Product Focus Certified Product Manager certification from Product Focus in December 2022. Risto also holds a TL-9000 certification from QuEST, although specific details regarding the month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
