Matthias Brendler is an experienced professional with a career spanning over two decades. Matthias began their career in 1997 as a Designer at Belk, where they worked with a range of clients. In 1999, they became Creative Director at sixdegrees.com. From 2001 to 2018, they served as an Adjunct Professor at The New School and Pratt Institute. In 2003, they founded Matthias Brendler Design, where they worked as Content Designer and Creative Director. In 2013, they founded PLAYLab Brasil: Design Thinking for K-12 Education. In 2018, they became Head of the Content and Visual Design Practice at TAD and Head Visual Practice, Creative Director, SME Design at TAD Associates. Additionally, they served as a Visiting Professor, MFA at Pratt Institute and a Contributing Writer (Designer as Writer?) at Print Magazine.
Matthias Brendler earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Food Science and Technology from Syracuse University between 1986 and 1989. Matthias then went on to earn a Masters degree in Graphic Design from North Carolina State University between 1992 and 1995.
