Doug Oberhelman

Doug is an esteemed corporate leader who held the positions of CFO, CEO, and Executive Chairman of the Board during a 41-year career at Caterpillar.

During his tenure there, he led Caterpillar through accelerated business cycles, implemented significant cost-efficiencies, and led efforts to improve global manufacturing and operations. His leadership was instrumental in the company’s efforts to renew its focus on customers and reinforce its dedication to quality, sustainability, and innovation. He serves on the board of directors of Exxon Mobil Corporation, Peter Kiewit Sons, Inc., and Bombardier Inc. He is a former chair of both the Business Roundtable and the National Association of Manufacturers. He previously served on the boards of Eli Lilly and Company and Ameren Corporation.
