Emily McKay

Emily McKay is currently working as a CX Content Writer at tado°. Emily started their role in March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at EOSPACE Inc. as an Electro-optical Test Engineer from February 2020 to June 2022. During their time there, Emily performed RF and electro-optical chip and wafer testing, collaborated with a team of research scientists and engineers, and assisted in writing and editing process documentation. Before EOSPACE, they were employed at Keysight Technologies as an Electrical Calibration Technical Coordinator from June 2018 to November 2019. In this role, they developed an understanding of RF and mechanical test systems, implemented Kaizen principals and LEAN methods, and improved the conditions of a high-precision metrology lab. Emily's work experience also includes a position as a Client Relations Representative at The Animal Hospital & Pet Resort at Southwood from January 2016 to October 2017, where they managed communication between hospital management, staff, and clients and promoted animal rescue initiatives. In addition, they worked as a Store Manager and Cheesemonger at I. J. Mellis Cheesemongers from February 2014 to October 2015. During this time, Emily transformed an underperforming shop, maintained a social media presence, and organized public speaking events.

Emily McKay completed their education in a dedicated and consistent manner. Emily started their academic journey by earning a Master of Arts (MA) degree in English Literature and Philosophy from the University of St Andrews, which lasted from 2008 to 2012. Following this, they pursued a deeper understanding of creative writing by obtaining a Master of Letters (MLitt) degree in Creative Writing (Fiction) from the University of St Andrews, from 2012 to 2013. In addition, they attended the T.S. Eliot International Summer School at the School of Advanced Study, University of London, in 2012, where they specialized in their field of interest.
