Karsten Petersen

Karsten Petersen began their work experience as a HPC Systembetreuung at Technische Universität Chemnitz in 2003. Karsten then worked as an HPC Engineer at MEGWARE Computer Vertrieb und Service GmbH from 2004 to 2006, where they built Linux Cluster systems and developed monitoring/management software. Karsten then joined Google in 2006 as a Site Reliability Engineer, providing support for storage technologies and developing resource management tools. In 2011, they became the SRE Manager for Google in Munich, where they grew the organization to over 100 SREs in more than 10 teams, supporting internal corporate and developer services. Currently, Karsten is working at tado° as the Principal Cloud Operations, starting in June 2022.

Karsten Petersen completed their education from 1997 to 2003 at Technische Universität Chemnitz, where they earned a Diplom in Informatik.
