Juhani Hernesniemi

Juhani Hernesniemi has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Juhani started their career as a Machinist at Metallityo Jylha Jarmo A. Ltd in 1999 and later worked as a CNC Machinist at Fekomet Ltd in 2001.

In 2003, they joined SEKL as a Technical Coordinator/Foreman, responsible for setting up marquees for large events across Finland. Juhani'sduties included analyzing the viability of erecting marquees, supervising a crew, ensuring safety and security, and managing the marquees and crew during and after events.

Juhani then worked at Mikron Singapore in 2010 for vacation work before joining EzyTrading Pty Ltd and Australian Consolidated Plastics in 2006 as a Technical Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for designing and developing new production line machines, ordering materials, coordinating machine manufacture, researching and developing programmable logic controllers, mechanical and structural drafting, selecting parts and equipment, liaising with sales representatives, maintaining and fixing machines, and operating CNC machines.

From 2012 to 2015, Juhani worked at EGR as a Project Engineer in the International Sourcing Division. Juhani'sresponsibilities included developing vehicle accessories and product groups for aftermarket and original equipment clients, designing a new tonneau cover range, managing design evolution based on stakeholder feedback, and program cost management.

Juhani then joined YAKIMA AUSTRALIA PTY LTD in 2015 as an OE Development Engineer, responsible for development and engineering activities.

Currently, Juhani Hernesniemi works at TAE Aerospace, where they started in 2017. Juhani began as a Design Engineer/Propulsion Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Principal Engineer in March 2020.

Throughout their career, Juhani has gained expertise in engineering, design, project management, CNC machining, and technical coordination.

Juhani Hernesniemi obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Queensland from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they studied Mechanical at Ngee Ann Polytechnic from 2005 to 2006. Additionally, they pursued Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical and Production Engineering at Tampere University of Applied Sciences from 2003 to 2006. Juhani also possesses several additional certifications such as APEC Engineer, NER, RPEQ, IntPE(Aus), and MIEAust - CPEng, which were obtained in the years 2020 and 2019.
