James Titus is the Lead Scientist at TAE, involved in neutral beam injection optimization, operation, beam-related diagnostics, and plasma analysis on the C-2W fusion research platform since September 2017. Previous experience includes roles as Senior Research Scientist at Transform Materials, Zero Cost Fellow, and Visiting PhD Student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Postdoctoral Fellow and Graduate Research Assistant at Florida A&M University. Additional positions include volunteering for the Reef Check Foundation and shorter-term roles such as Student Guest at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Summer Research Student at INFN. James Titus holds a Ph.D. in Physics, an MS in Physics, and a BS in Physics from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and Florida State University, respectively. Early education includes an Associate of Arts degree from Eastern Florida State College. Musician experience includes participation in the Magic of Orlando Drum and Bugle Corps and the Brass Band of Central Florida.
