Alison McDonald

Alison McDonald is an accomplished health and wellbeing professional with extensive experience in nursing and education. Currently serving as an Industry Innovation Specialist at TAFE NSW since May 2022, Alison engages with industry leaders to foster collaboration and develop innovative solutions for workforce needs. Additionally, Alison holds positions as a Clinical Nurse Educator at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital and a Chief Education Officer at Virtual Manikin, both starting in 2025 and 2023 respectively. Prior roles include Clinical Consultant at ObservaCare since 2021 and a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital from 2006 to 2023. Additionally, Alison worked as a Simulation Lab Manager and Educator as well as a Lecturer in Medicine at the University of New England from 2015 to 2022. Alison's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Emergency Room/Trauma Nursing from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing from the University of New England.
