John McKechnie

John McKechnie is an experienced finance and governance professional currently serving as the Manager of Corporate Governance & Financial Services at TAFE SA since January 2021. In this role, John is responsible for developing strategies, policies, and practices that drive corporate governance and risk management. Prior to TAFE SA, John held various positions, including Project Manager for the Department for Education's Finance Business Transformation project, where John led the implementation of finance and procurement solutions. Previous experiences include roles in the UK such as Commercial Finance Lead for the Ministry of Justice and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, where John was involved in financial strategy and procurement management. John holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of South Australia and has completed the CPA Australia Program.
