Mahmoud Ismail Hossam El-Din

Mahmoud Ismail Hossam El-Din is a results-driven commercial executive with over 15 years of experience driving performance across the MENA and Levant regions. He is known for building high-performing teams, unlocking market potential, and designing scalable commercial models across FMCG, energy, and circular economy sectors.

He started his career as an entrepreneur, launching and managing three restaurants in under four years — developing a hands-on, agile leadership style rooted in operational discipline and customer focus.

In 2015, Mahmoud joined Cairo for Oil & Soap as Head of Marketing, where he oversaw the full commercial operation — including marketing, sales, modern trade, and business development. He successfully launched four nationally recognized edible oil brands, expanding market presence and increasing brand penetration in highly competitive segments.

From 2018 to 2021, he held senior commercial roles at El Rashidi El Mizan, one of the most established food brands in the region. Mahmoud led commercial planning, trade strategy, and market expansion across multiple territories. During his tenure, he successfully restructured trade investment plans, revitalized stagnant channels, and contributed to a significant increase in route-to-market efficiency and revenue quality — enabling the brand to reclaim share in core markets and expand into new regional clusters.

In April 2021, he joined Tagaddod, a fast-scaling renewable energy and waste-to-biofuel company. As Head of Marketing & Commercial Planning, he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s go-to-market approach and commercial backbone. Promoted to VP of Commercial in September 2022, Mahmoud drove regional expansion, enhanced business structures, and introduced new business lines that diversified revenue streams and strengthened profitability. His efforts helped transform Tagaddod into a recognized regional player with integrated supply chains and high-growth commercial channels.

In April 2025, Mahmoud was appointed Chief Business Officer, now overseeing the company’s entire commercial structure — from origination and aggregation, partnerships, and growth strategy. His leadership continues to position Tagaddod at the forefront of circular economy innovation, delivering impact-driven solutions at scale.

Mahmoud holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the German University in Cairo, with a dual focus in Strategic Management & Innovation and Technology Management. He also holds an American diploma from Victoria International College.
