Kris Strehlow-Cooper

Kris Strehlow-Cooper has extensive experience in education and creative writing. Since August 2011, Kris has been a teacher at Tahlequah Public Schools, instructing Spanish 1 and 2 classes and sponsoring extracurricular clubs. Prior to this role, Kris taught various science subjects and Spanish at Hulbert Public Schools from August 2004 to July 2011, where four new courses were introduced. In addition to teaching, Kris has been a creative writer with Bookdragon since January 2008, specializing in speculative fiction, poetry, spoken word performance, and freelance proofreading and editing. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Emporia State University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology - Secondary Education from Buffalo State University.
