Megan Meschery serves as the Director of Student Improvement for Sierra-Plumas Joint Unified School District and Principal at Loyalton High School, overseeing grades 7-12 and coordinating LEA CAASPP efforts since August 2021. Additionally, Megan has held the position of TOSA at Tahoe-Truckee Unified School District since October 2019 and is the Founding President of The Sierra Schools Foundation since January 2011. Previous experience includes roles as Curriculum Coordinator and Spanish/English Teacher at Sierra-Plumas Unified School District, as well as a Research Fellow with the Fulbright Commission, focusing on rural education in Spain. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Nevada, Reno, a Secondary Education Teaching Credential from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and French Language and Literature from Lake Forest College.
