In the 1990s, everyone built websites. Then someone built the infrastructure to host them. In the 2000s, everyone moved to the cloud. Then someone built the orchestration to manage it. In the 2010s, everyone shipped faster. Then someone built the pipelines to make that safe.

The pattern never changes. The exciting thing arrives first. The essential thing arrives second. The essential thing always wins.

We are in the earliest moments of the AI era. Code is being written by machines. Decisions made by models. Entire workflows running without human hands. The capability is arriving faster than anything before it.

The essential thing underneath it has not been built yet.

The ancient Finns understood this intuitively. The Kalevala tells the story of the Sampo, a mythical machine that produced endlessly on its own. But the story isn't about the machine. It's about who controlled it. Who decided what it should produce and why. Nations went to war not over the Sampo's power, but over its direction.

Three thousand years later, the question is the same. The machines are here. They produce at speeds we've never seen. The question that matters isn't what they can do. It's what sits underneath. What governs the direction. What makes the output trustworthy.

Taiga AI exists because that question needs an answer. And because the best answers to hard problems have always come from small teams in cold places who'd rather build than talk.
