Robert Baronian

Robert Baronian has over 25 years of experience in various IT leadership roles. Robert'smost recent position is as the Director of Information Technology at Taiga Motors, starting in September 2021.

Prior to that, they worked at Angelcare from January 2020 to September 2021, where they held the role of Senior Director of Business Analytics. In this position, they consolidated all businesses into a single ERP and implemented an Enterprise Data Warehouse solution. Robert also transitioned the company to a full Cloud model for increased flexibility.

Before Angelcare, Robert served as the Director of Information Technology at Paradox Security Systems from August 2019 to December 2019.

From May 2017 to August 2019, they worked at Uniboard Canada as an IT Director. In this role, they managed the IT infrastructure, security, and operations for multiple companies with a diverse environment of 1,200 users across North America and Belgium.

In 2016, Robert worked at ABB as part of their IS Infrastructure and Project Management team on a full-time contract from January 2016 to May 2017.

Robert also has experience as an IT Director on Demand and Consultant in various industries, including manufacturing, wholesale, direct sales, and commercial services, where they led projects such as e-commerce website design and IT infrastructure restructuring.

Robert's early career includes roles as the IT Director/National IT Manager at SMS Equipment Inc. from 2006 to 2015. Robert was responsible for IT services and served as the President of the Internal French-Compliance Committee and an Internal Auditor for ISO9001-2008 compliance.

Robert started their career at Federal Equipment Inc. (now part of SMS Equipment Inc.) in 1997 as a Network Administrator and later became the IT/IS Supervisor.

Robert also has entrepreneurial experience, having owned and operated Micro Quebec from 1994 to 1997.

Overall, Robert Baronian has a strong track record of successfully leading IT initiatives and managing IT operations in diverse industries.

Robert Baronian has an Associate's Degree in Information Systems from UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal. Robert also has completed Master's degree courses in Information Technology from Université TÉLUQ. Additionally, they have another Associate's Degree in Accounting from UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal. Prior to their university education, they obtained a DEC in Sciences Humaines avec Mathematiques et Informatique from Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf from 1992 to 1994.

In terms of certifications, Robert obtained the SIMDUT certification in October 2016. Robert is also a Certified Technician from Toshiba America Business Solutions and has ITIL 2011 (v3) certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Robert has a certification in Santé et sécurité générale sur les chantiers de construction from ASP Construction.
