Marlene Leibowitz

Marlene Leibowitz has extensive work experience in the creative industry. Marlene currently serves as the Director of Creative Services at Tail Activewear since April 2022. Prior to this, Marlene worked as an Art Director at Tail Activewear from August 2017. During their time there, they oversaw brand direction and execution, developed concepts for look books, and collaborated with the Creative Team on various projects.

Before joining Tail Activewear, Marlene worked at Uniform Advantage as the Art Director for the UA Catalog and Print division. Marlene led a team of Graphic Designers in designing and producing a 100-page mail order catalog for the healthcare industry. Their role also involved creating other printed materials and web images with a high level of creativity and attention to detail. Marlene worked at Uniform Advantage from January 2007 to August 2017.

From 2002 to 2006, Marlene held the position of Senior Graphic Designer at Betty Dain Creations, Inc. There, they focused on catalog design and production for beauty products. Marlene also worked on packaging design, promotional deals, and point-of-purchase displays.

Prior to Betty Dain Creations, Marlene worked as a Graphic Designer at Pro-Publishing from 2001 to 2002. Their responsibilities included designing calendars, brochures, and postcards for the tourism industry.

Marlene began their career as a Graphic Designer at Scale Model of Havana in 1993. Marlene was responsible for creating print materials for organizations and events related to Havana City. This included designing monthly newsletters, brochures, catalogs, postcards, and direct mail advertising. Marlene also developed visual identity designs for art exhibitions, workshops, and educational events. Their tenure at Scale Model of Havana lasted until 1996.

Marlene Leibowitz earned a Bachelor's Degree in Informational Design from the Higher Institute of Industrial Design in Havana, Cuba from 1989 to 1993.
