James W. Brown, III

Jim Brown III, president of Tailwind Technologies Inc. focuses on strategic issues including growing the platform and managing professional services and relationships. He joined the company (Hartzell Propeller) in 1993 following a stint at the law firm of Baker & Hostetler, Cleveland, Ohio.

Jim’s background at Hartzell included foreman and later director of Hartzell’s Service Center; vice-president, of parts, and service. As co-President, Brown has been principally involved with sales and engineering as well as general management.

Jim Brown is a graduate of Georgetown University and Case Western Reserve School of Law (Magna Cum Laude and Order of the Coif).
