Automation Crew Chief at TAIT

Mike Rock has a diverse work experience in the field of automation and rigging. Mike started their career in 2010 as a Kinesys Operator at Atlanta Rigging Systems. Later, they worked at various companies in different roles, including Tour Staff at Cyberhoist North America, Tour Staff at Production Resource Group, and Tour Staff at SGPS/ Showrig, Inc. In 2013, they joined TAIT as an Automation Technician and eventually transitioned to the role of Automation Programer, where they worked with the creative team to create show looks and cues. Mike also advised on the development of new features for Tait's Navigator Software. In 2014, they became the Automation Crew Chief at TAIT. From 2008 to 2020, they served as a Site Supervisor at Reed Rigging, and in 2022, they worked as an Interim Stage Manager for Michael Bublé.

Mike Rock received a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Theatre with a Design Emphasis from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where they studied from 2005 to 2008. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications throughout their career. These certifications include VECTORWORKS CORE ASSOCIATE CERTIFICATION from Vectorworks, obtained in December 2022; Google Project Management Certificate from Coursera | Google, obtained in November 2022; Ignition 8.1 Credentialed from Inductive Automation, obtained in January 2021; e-Series Pro Track from Universal Robots A/S, obtained in June 2020; Nav 208 Axis IO from TAIT, obtained in February 2016; Nav 301 Objects and Lace Attachments from TAIT, obtained in October 2015; Nav 103 Basic Navigator from TAIT, obtained in January 2015; and ETCP Arena Rigging from ETCP, obtained in May 2013.
