Paige Walker

Paige Walker is the current Carrier Account Manager at Take Command. Paige has over 6 years of experience in the customer service and billing industry. Paige started their career at Texas Pathology Consultants as an Account Supervisor. In this role, they were responsible for filing weekly claims for a high-volume, hospital-based Pathologist. Paige was also responsible for actively negotiating and partnering with third-party groups, patients, and insurance companies for complete payment of account balances ranging from $100 - $5000+. Paige executed customer service-focused responsibilities with an active role in resolution management, educating patients on payment plans, insurance, and settlement options. Paige also liaised and collaborated with senior management, internal departments, and the software vendor to create an automated pathology-specific billing system that met regulatory and HIPAA compliance and solved continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and claim-handling efficiency.

In 2015, Paige was contracted to resolve +3,000 claims and transition the company into a new billing system. Paige partnered with IT to automate corrections reducing daily time spent by 25%. After successful project management efforts, Paige was hired full-time in 2016.

Since 2016, Paige has continuously met monthly accounts settled/payment quota, often exceeding goals by 10%. Paige has also maximized system uptime by resolving IT issues as the billing system’s IT liaison. In addition, Paige leads weekly staff meetings to promote efficient billing and has grown collections as a team by 10% from 2015-2017.

Paige Walker has a Bachelor's Degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of Central Florida. Paige also has an Associate of Arts (A.A.) from Eastern Florida State College and Santa Fe Community College. Paige is certified by the Texas Department of Insurance as an Insurance Agent, Accident, Health, Life, Variable Life & Variable Annuities.
