Dom Bourne

Founder & President at Take1

Dom Bourne is the founder and president of Take1, a transcription service that provides accurate and searchable XML transcription data. Dom started the company in their bedroom twenty years ago, and it has since grown into a global operation with a distributed workforce. Take1 has a simple vision: to derive data once and support localization, compliance, and asset management through transcription services.

Bourne oversees key account management, partnerships, digital marketing, and R&D for the company. Dom also visits customers in London and Los Angeles, and attends industry events such as NAB, IBC, NATPE, and Realscreen. In addition to their work with Take1, Bourne is also involved with MESA (the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance) and the DPP (the Digital Production Partnership). Through these alliances, they explore how to support the media and entertainment industry through innovation and create new metadata standards in post production and broadcast.

Dom Bourne has a Business Growth Programme from Cranfield University, an Advanced Management Programme from Henley Business School, a Business Accelerator from Henley Business School, a Music Technology & Sound Recording from City University (GB), and an Education from Cranbrook School.

These are the people who work closely with Dom Bourne on a day-to-day basis. They help to run the company and make sure that everything is running smoothly.
