Mark Zell

Scientific Fellow at Takeda Oncology

Mark Zell serves as a Scientific Fellow at Takeda Oncology, leading a team focused on advanced spectroscopic tools to tackle complex structural characterization projects related to drug substances and products. With expertise in various spectroscopy techniques and chromatography, Mark contributes significantly to regulatory support and technology implementation. Concurrently, Mark holds a role as a Courtesy Assistant Professor at the University of Florida, teaching courses in Pharmaceutical Analysis and Organic Structure Elucidation. Prior experience includes positions at Pfizer as an Associate Research Fellow and Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals as a Research Scientist. Mark’s leadership roles include serving as Chair of the Rhode Island Section of the American Chemical Society. Mark holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, alongside a Certificate in Forensic Drug Chemistry from the University of Florida.
