Bettina Olshausen

Bettina Olshausen currently serves as the Head of Research Strategy Development and Internal Consulting at Takeda since January 2025. Prior experience includes roles at McKinsey & Company from October 2019 to January 2025, where Bettina progressed from Senior Associate to Associate Partner and Engagement Manager. An innovation consultant and MBA fellow at Merck KGaA in early 2018, Bettina contributed to corporate open innovation initiatives. Academic background includes a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and Chemical Biology from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and a Master's in Business Administration from Collège des Ingénieurs. Bettina also held a research fellowship at Harvard Medical School, focusing on organic chemistry and dye synthesis for protein labeling.
