Robert de Tuya

Robert de Tuya is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, currently serving as Chief of Staff, Global Medical, and Head Global Medical Business Excellence at Takeda since November 2017. In this role, Robert partners with the Chief Medical Officer to strategically manage the Global Medical organization while leading program management and business operations for Takeda's medical affairs. Previous positions at Takeda include Director of Global Program Team Effectiveness and Associate Director of Project Team Innovation, focusing on asset strategy and organizational operating models. Prior to Takeda, Robert held various roles at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, overseeing curriculum portfolios and facilitating project team workshops, and worked as a Program Manager at Vertex Pharmaceuticals contributing to global medical education. Robert holds dual Executive MBA degrees from Brown University and IE Business School and possesses a Master of Music in Flute Performance from New England Conservatory of Music, along with a summa cum laude Bachelor's degree in Flute Performance from Baylor University.
