Takeru Kusumoto

Takeru Kusumoto is an experienced leader in strategy planning and project management within the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as the Lead of Strategy Planning and Chief of Staff for R&D Global Regions at Takeda since May 2020, Takeru also holds the position of Director at the Strategy Planning Office for the R&D Japan Region. Key responsibilities include overseeing business operations, project management, and initiatives in AI and digital technologies. Prior to Takeda, Takeru was involved in clinical planning, regulatory affairs, and medical writing at Mochida Pharmaceutical from April 2004 to February 2008. Takeru began academic endeavors at Tohoku University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Organic Chemistry and a Master of Science in Molecular Biology.
