William Johnson has a long history of working in the wrestling industry. William began their career in 2007 as a Volunteer Coach at Eastside Wrestling Club, where they worked with ages 5-18 years old. In 2010, they became a Volunteer Varsity Wrestling Assistant at Monticello High School. In 2012, they were an Assistant Varsity Wrestling Coach/ Head JV Coach at Effingham County High School, where they instructed and coached Junior Varsity, assisted the Head Coach with varsity, and ran practices and attended matches. During this time, they achieved 15+ Dual Wins and 4 State Placers. In 2013, they joined Campus Recreation and Intramurals as a Maintenance Specialist and Maintenance Assistant. In 2014, they became an Assistant Varsity Wrestling Coach at Statesboro High School. In 2015, they were an Assistant Coach at Georgia Southern Wrestling Club. In 2016, they were the Head Club Wrestling Coach at Georgia Southern University. In 2018, they were the Head Wrestling Coach at Bulloch Academy. Finally, in 2019, they began their current role as a Teacher at Lumpkin County School District.

William Johnson has a Master of Science (M.S.) in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching from Georgia Southern University, which they earned in 2017. William also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from Georgia Southern University, which they earned in 2015. In addition, they hold several certifications, including Teacher 5-8, Middle Level - Science from the Georgia Association of Educators (2019), GACE Program Admission - Professional Level from the Georgia Association of Educators (2019), Bronze Coach Certification from USA Wrestling (2016), Creating a Safe and Respectful Environment from The NFHS Network (2014), Sports Nutrition from The NFHS Network (2014), ASEP - Wrestling from the American Sport Education Program (2014), Certificate of Training Mobile Equipment from CTS (2016), and GHSA Community/Lay Coach from the Georgia High School Assn (2015).
