Sabeena Abbasi

Co-founder & Chief Digital Learning Officer at Taleemabad

Sabeena Abbasi has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Sabeena co-founded and served as the Chief Digital Learning Officer at Taleemabad, where they directed the academics department and managed the video content department. Sabeena also developed strategic plans for the digital learning team and established partnerships with government entities and ed-tech firms. Additionally, Sabeena worked as the Head of Department for Content Production, leading a team of 35 individuals and scaling up the department's delivery of educational content.

Sabeena participated in the WISE Emerging Leaders fellowship program at the World Innovation Summit for Education. Prior to that, they worked as a Visiting Faculty at Bahria University Islamabad and co-founded patang.co. Sabeena also served as an Assistant Manager at MJSF and an Accounts and Finance Officer at Telenor.

Earlier in their career, Sabeena worked as a Project Associate at Charter for Compassion Pakistan, an Intern for Marketing and Sales at EDeQUAL, and a Fellow at Teach for Pakistan. Sabeena also gained experience as an Intern for Indirect Sales Operations at Mobilink.

Through their work experience, Sabeena demonstrated strong leadership, project management, and partnership-building skills in the field of education and beyond.

Sabeena Abbasi completed their MSc in Development Economics and Policy at The University of Manchester from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (Honors) in Marketing and International Business from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) between 2008 and 2012. Before entering NUST, they completed A-Levels at Beaconhouse Margalla Institute in 2007 and at The Lyceum School in 2006. In both A-Levels, their field of study was economics, and they also studied maths and physics in their A-Levels at Beaconhouse Margalla Institute.
