Melissa Chan Gustin

Melissa Chan Gustin, PhD, serves as the Director of Recruiting at TalentCompass.co, where responsibilities include overseeing data-driven recruiting solutions for clients. Previously, Melissa held the role of Project Manager at both TalentCompass and ECA, a leading executive search firm focused on placing top-tier talent for private equity clients. Experience also includes working as a Fellowship Recruiter for Formation, assisting in the placement of software engineering fellows, and various teaching roles at institutions such as Loyola Marymount University and the University of Southern California, where extensive teaching, research, and publishing occurred. Melissa holds a PhD in East Asian Languages and Cultures from the University of Southern California, an MA in Asian Studies from UC Santa Barbara, and a BA in English from UC Irvine.
