Rachael Onoja began their career in 2014 as an ADHOC Staff at ICT/MIS, The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi. In 2015, they became the Hub Manager at Uplift Hub and then moved to the role of Executive Assistant at the same company in 2016. In 2017, they joined Andela as a Regional Program Assistant, where they led the team for the #DevCTrainingwithAndela scholarship program to train 2500 learners in Software Development in Nigeria and Kenya. Rachael also worked with a team to lead the mission of Andela, Google and other major stakeholders to support and train 1 million Africans in Software Development before 2023. In 2020, Rachael joined Decagon as a Program Associate, where they planned and executed Decadev Job Preparation Programs to fulfil the company's main goal of being a pipeline to access Software Engineering talent in Nigeria. In 2021, they became the Program Lead at TalentQL (Techstars '21), where they led the strategic planning of all programs and hosted an Engineering Leaders Bootcamp aimed at upskilling Engineering Managers and CTO's in Kigali Rwanda. Rachael is currently the Director of Learning at AltSchool Africa, where they are building and delivering learning pathways and structure for the school, leading the expansion into Kigali, Rwanda and identifying new learning verticals and driving the execution of launch to implementation of the verticals.

Rachael Onoja obtained their Higher National Diploma in Computer Science from Federal Polytechnic Bauchi between 2017 and 2019. Prior to this, they studied Computer Science at Federal Polytechnic Bauchi from 2014 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Onoja has obtained several certifications, including ProductMasterclass: How to Build Digital Products from Product School in April 2021, Learning Program Management from LinkedIn in November 2020, and Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile;Download Free Scrum Body of Knowledge(381 pages) in April 2020.
