Jay Makarov

Jay Makarov is an accomplished entrepreneur and technology leader with extensive experience in building innovative platforms and teams. As the Founder and CEO of Talentway since October 2022, Jay Makarov is focused on creating a job-matching platform for Customer Success. Prior to this, from January 2017 to September 2022, Jay Makarov founded and led StartExam, an HR Cloud platform for employee assessments tailored for large enterprises. Jay Makarov's earlier experience includes a significant role as Technical Team Lead at Microsoft, where contributions were made to the official websites for the Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Prior positions included Senior Software Engineer at Step Logic and Software Engineer at the Agency for International Consulting for Higher Education. Jay Makarov holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Economics from Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics.
