RoAnna Sylver has a diverse work experience. Starting in 2007, they have been a published short fiction author with various publications. From 2010 to present, Sylver has worked as an author, artist, blogger, voice actor, and singer on a freelance basis. In 2014, they were a verified creator for moviepilot, specializing in showcasing fan-made art and creative works. In 2016, Sylver acted in the TV series "The Librarians" on NBC. They also worked as a game developer for Choice of Games starting in 2017 and for Tales starting in 2019. Sylver has been an author of inclusive, queer SFF books under their own name since 2016. Additionally, they worked for Phoenix Online Studios as a concept artist, extended universe writer, voice actor, and singer from 2010 to 2014, and as an actor on the TV series "Grimm" in 2011.

RoAnna Sylver received an Associate's degree in Dramatic Performance from The National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts from 2007 to 2009. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies: Integrated Psycho-Artistic Expression from Marylhurst University, which was completed from 2010 to 2014.
