Gurpreet Singh

Gurpreet Singh has extensive experience in technology and entrepreneurship, serving as an official member of the Forbes Technology Council since October 2015 and as CEO and Founder of TalkLocal since 2011, a platform that connects consumers with local service businesses. Gurpreet is also the Founder and Head Geek of Geeks On-Site Computer Repair, providing services to over 10,000 customers in the DC area since 2004, and serves as the Director of the Lakan Foundation, which promotes educational and scientific causes and has raised over $300,000. Previous roles include web application development at SAIC and Lockheed Martin, and founding Desi Vibes, Inc., an entertainment web portal. Gurpreet holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Security from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a similar focus from the University of Maryland.
