Carmen Avecillas

Carmen Avecillas, CPA, has a strong work experience in the field of financial reporting and accounting. Carmen currently holds the position of Director of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting at Talkspace, starting in December 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. from 2015 to 2021, fulfilling roles such as Senior Director - Financial Reporting, Director of Financial Reporting, Associate Director - Corporate Financial Reporting, and Corporate Financial Reporting Accountant. Carmen also gained experience at EY as a Senior Auditor Assurance from 2013 to 2015, and at Siegfried Group LLC as a Consultant from 2010 to 2013. Before that, they worked at JPMorgan Chase as a Fund Accounting Analyst from 2008 to 2010, and at PwC as an Assurance Associate - Real Estate from 2006 to 2008.

Carmen Avecillas, CPA holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting and a minor in Computer Information Systems from Baruch College, which they completed from 2002 to 2006. Carmen is also a Certified Public Accountant recognized by the New York State.
