James Smith

James Smith is an accomplished finance and management professional with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as Group CEO and Group CFO at TalkTalk since April 2023 and Chief Executive Officer at PXC since September 2024, James has demonstrated expertise in corporate governance and strategic financial management. Prior positions include Chief Financial Officer at Capricorn Energy PLC from February 2014 to April 2023, Director at Rothschild & Co from January 2008 to January 2014, and Vice President at MERRILL LYNCH INTERNATIONAL from January 2005 to January 2008. James began a career in finance as an Associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Harrison Lovegrove and held an Analyst position at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. James holds a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford.
