Angela Walker

Dr. Angela Walker was born in Mobile, Alabama to Lottie Woodard and the late Alexander Woodard, Jr., but she was raised in Daphne, Alabama. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in merchandising with a minor in Management and Marketing, and a Master of Public Administration with a minor in Business Administration from Jacksonville State University (JSU). The former JSU homecoming queen and volleyball standout went on to earn a Doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration from The University of Alabama. Dr. Walker is extremely proud of the fact that she earned each of her college degrees debt-free.

Dr. Walker has passionately worked in the field of higher education in various capacities since the early 90s. Currently, she is Chair of the Public Administration Department, Assistant to the Provost/VP for Academic Affairs, Faculty Development Coordinator, and Faculty Representative to the Board of Trustees at Talladega College. She is certified in Effective Teaching Practices. The certification is co-sponsored by The Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) and The American Council on Education (ACE) Dr. Walker is also the author of There is Lyfe After Death: Moving Forward After A Miscarriage, and she is an ordained minister.

Dr. Walker is married to Gospel-recording artist, Minister Michael Walker, since August 12, 2000. The Walkers live in Anniston, Alabama and attend Faith Chapel Christian Center in Birmingham, Alabama where Pastor Michael Moore serves as the overseer.
